Science Assemblies
Showing science principles with everyday objects. Making science meaningful.
That's Amazing! Air Pressure at Work!
Interactive Science Assemblies
Engaging, Entertaining & Educational

Sharing interative science experiments
Wow! Science is Fun!
About Interactive Assemblies

Children are natural scientists. They have an innate curiosity of the world around them. They desire to explore, create, learn, understand, test, and experiment with their surroundings.

We build on this desire through our science assemblies by using common household items, in most cases, to introduce, explain, or prove a scientific property. Children are involved, and encouraged to participate in the assemblies. This increases their desire to learn and retain the science principles presented.

Our goal is for a child to leave an assembly with the "Aha. I get it!" or "Wow, that's amazing, I like science!"

Each assembly lasts 45 minutes, and aligns with the California Science Content Standards.

Featured Assemblies

"May the Force Be With You: Our Atmosphere" - Are you stronger than air? Can a bowling ball float? Discover what happens to a piece of wood under 10,000 lbs. of air pressure. Learn about the layers of our atmosphere that surround and protect the Earth. Experience the wonders of atmospheric pressure, and how precious our planet is through this interactive and entertaining assembly.

New Earth - Protecting Our Precious Planet" -  Children learn through interactive experiments the forces and relationships that make the third planet from the Sun our home. This uplifting assembly celebrates our role as caretakers to keep our precious Earth healthy by recycling and not wasting resources.

"Get Excited About Science" -  Enthusiastic children make great learners. This assembly inspires childrens imagination and desire to learn about science. They see scientific principles in action. Using many household (everyday common items) objects to bring science alive. Witness paper stay dry under water, flying potatoes, screaming cans, and much more. Children will go back to class, eager to learn more science.

"Discovering the Science of Flight: From A to Z" - What do airplanes and toilet paper have in common? Find out why birds walked (just kidding) until Daniel Bernoulli discovered the science of moving air. Learn about the history and science of flight. You'll be carried up,up, and away by this interactive and educational interactive assembly.

"Thinking Like a Scientist"
- Investigating and experimentation come together using the Scientific Method! Your students will learn the steps involved in conducting experiments. Many fun and  exciting experiments will be shared with help from the young scientists (the students) in the audience.

"Quotes"

"This is a fun, captivating science assembly!"
- Kathy Johnson, Teacher

“I liked all of the things he brought to show us.... The experiments were fun.”
- Kaitlyn, Grade 5

"This morning I watched one of the best science assemblies I have ever seen... He used students from the audience to perform great experiments with items you would find around the house. Students were encouraged to go home and replicate the experiments. The teachers loved it. The teachers even asked Rich to extend the 2nd assembly by ten minutes. - Glenda Wycoff, Principal

"Rich is a high energy guy, who presented science concepts with real everyday objects. Our school will be inviting Rich back for another science assembly, Rich is great!" - Rebecca Caudillo, Principal

How many assemblies do I need?

These are interactive assemblies, which means a number of students will be called upon to assist and conduct experiments while the others are eagerly engaged. The smaller the groups the greater percentage of students have a chance to participate. You want to maximize their learning experience by selecting the appropriate number of assemblies.

Contact our friendly consultants to discuss the factors (room size, location, configuration, grade levels, school population, & budget) that determine which number of assemblies will best serve your students.

Fees: The fee varies depending on the school size. Contact sales@achievescience.com or call (800) 508-1070 for a free quote.
